Office Hours

The fastest way to get in touch with me is by email during my typical office hours. I check my email frequently throughout the day (even when I’m away from my office), respond as quickly as I can, and will get back to you within the next business day at the absolute latest. My typical office hours are:

  • Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (PST)

  • Fridays from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (PST)

You may also call me during my office hours, but please understand that I'm not sitting around waiting for phone calls. I block out several hours during my day to dedicate 100% of my attention to client projects. I prefer that you view my availability and schedule a 15-minute call with me or 30-minute call with me using these links.

Payment Policy

I will collect full payment via a payment link emailed to you at the end of our 30-minute Onboarding Call.

I do not offer payment plans at this time.

I guarantee 100% safe and secure payments using Stripe as a payment processor. I accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, and Diners Club credit and debit cards.

As discussed in the Terms of Service you signed, I will not start your first draft until I’m notified that your payment has processed (This is automatic and requires no effort on your part aside from clicking that final “Purchase” button on the Checkout page.). Since you’re purchasing a service and your first draft may serve as a final document, there are no refunds once your first drafts have been sent by email.

Feedback Guidelines

Your first draft will be ready for review by email in two business days (five business days for Executive Resumes).

All of my clients get a Priority Revision Period. Any revisions you request for the first five business days after receiving your first draft (ten business days for Executive Resumes) will be addressed and a revised resume will be ready for review within the next business day (48 hours for Executive Resumes).

I will continue to work with you on revisions after the Priority Revision Period until you are 100% satisfied with your resume, but any revisions requested after the Priority Revision Period will be addressed and a revised resume will be ready for review depending on my availability.

As discussed in the Terms of Service you signed, you are responsible for actively participating during this Priority Revision Period. This means reviewing your resume, providing feedback, requesting revisions, and/or approving the drafts in a timely manner. Since you will not be the only client I’ll be working with at any given time, your active participation allows me to manage my time with each client (including you) effectively.

BOTTOM LINE:
Don't "ghost" me after receiving your first draft and request revisions weeks or months later.

Requesting Revisions

If you have revisions to request, I prefer that you email me a copy of your draft with notes and requested changes in a different font color within the document. An alternative preference is that you email me your notes and requested changes in the body of the email.

We can also discuss revisions over a 30-minute phone call which you’ll be able to schedule directly from the first draft delivery email.

You're welcome to use Tracked Changes to send notes and requested revisions, but I’m not a huge fan of this method. With this method, I will still make changes to the original file and communicate my feedback by email.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you make any guarantees?

I don't guarantee interviews, job offers, or any career outcomes. There are simply too many factors involved in the job search. Results will vary based on:

  • How active you are in the job search process
  • Whether or not you're applying for positions you are qualified for, and
  • If you use your resume, LinkedIn profile, cover letter, etc. as advised
     

Will my new resume work for every job I apply for?

If you're applying for jobs online, most likely no.

When you apply for jobs online, you send your resume and application to that employer's Applicant Tracking software. This software eliminates applicants and ranks the top qualified candidates based on the keywords in your resume.

For this reason, you must target your resume for each job you apply for.

I'm aware that job seekers may not be able to afford resume services for every job application, so I offer two solutions:

  • New Job Target Revisions: I offer a discounted resume service after you've purchased your first resume which restarts my process to rework the focus of your resume for other job targets.
  • Resume Targeting Coaching: I also offer 60-minute video coaching calls where I share my screen and teach you how to analyze a job posting, identify the qualifications and skills that the resume should showcase, and retarget both your resume and a cover letter.
     

Do I need a LinkedIn profile?

The job search is evolving. Industry experts anticipate that resumes will be replaced with online profiles and HR teams will rely on artificial intelligence to create a database of job seekers based on what information is found online about yourself.

The longer you wait to embrace these changes, the further behind other job seekers you will be. This may not affect you now, but it will if you will be potentially on the job hunt 5-10 years from now.

If that isn't reason enough to be on LinkedIn, then consider current hiring trends.

Referrals are 8x more likely to land a job than a job seeker who only applies online. LinkedIn makes it easy to grow your referral network, engage with others in your field, and connect with employees who work for the companies you'd love to work for.

For these reasons, I recommend having a LinkedIn profile to all of my clients.
